Emilia Amaro is an undergraduate student at American University majoring in Psychology and Sociology. Her area of focus is making mental health care equitable and accessible as well as the benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy. She is currently a research assistant studying cross border healthcare research. Being a dual citizen in the United States and Mexico and having used both healthcare systems offers a unique perspective and interest in the current cross border research.
